Vicdrift are back at Calder Park this weekend!!

Event Date: 28 Mar 2015

Vicdrift are back at Calder Park this weekend! On Saturday, drivers of all standards will be refining their skills and “running the wall”.

Passenger rides are available for $20 per person. Bring your own helmet and wear long sleeves, long pants and covered shoes to participate.

On Sunday, Victoria’s best drifters are fighting for a position on the podium at Round 1 of the Vicdrift Championship. They will be “running the wall”, which is always a massive crowd favourite layout as it enables the spectators to get up close to the action and breathe in the smoke as the competitors burn those tyres!

Michael Prosenik and Moe Elhaouli, last year’s Championship winner and runner up will be back to defend their titles.  Michael Prosenik will not be piloting his insane Supreme Caravans S13 but instead will be driving the car that is affectionately referred to as the "VB machine".  Matt Russell and Sean Power will be trying to move up the ranking and perhaps knock Michael off the top spot. The rest of the field is a mixture of experienced and novice drivers and they will all be doing their best to qualify for the Top 32 battles.

All 5 rounds of the Vicdrift Championship will be held at Calder Park with a practice day on the Saturday and the Competition held on the Sunday. With 5 different competition layouts, it is sure to shake things up.

Round 1 – March 28th & 29th

Round 2 – May 23rd & 24th

Round 3 – July 18th & 19th

Round 4 – August 22nd & 23rd

Round 5 – September 19th & 20th

Spectator entry is $20 (tickets available at the gate) with kids 12 and under FREE. Gates open at 9am for spectators.
